Opinions on Hotcopper – I used to think it was alright a few years ago, but I am starting to get the feeling it is changing drastically. The discussions seem rather one-sided and incredibly prone to shit-slinging and ramping (up/down). I think it is due to anonymity. What do you guys think? Do you even use Hotcopper? Is it a waste of time?

Ive just turned 18 and have been in the stock market since 14. My portfolio has since grown and have gotten a large pay out from my parents, the equivalent to what they were worth. Ive currently got orders on PNV, COB and NUH. Should I try and diversify more? and what are some good stocks to look into. Thanks in advance

Anyone know of any phone stock tracking apps that allow 4 decimal places in their displays and calculations? Instance – on Friday I bought 4000000 shares of BDI purchased @ 0.0015, because the apps Ive tried round that to 0.001 they register an instant loss of 33.3r%, no change in valuation since purchase. Following the recent GetSwift, BigUn and BlueSky debacles, there seems to be a huge focus by the ASX on disclosure. Anyone that holds AVZ will be incredibly frustrated at the recent suspensions but at the same time, can appreciate that the ASX is making a very valid point regarding market disclosure. I am of the opinion that following the recent controversies, the ASX has a fresh initiative and focus on cracking down on stocks making announcements to the public by any method. In the long term, I think this will benefit all and ensure that all investors are well informed. But at the same time, does anyone think that the market is going to just be completely flooded with announcements that have essentially no effect on the share price due to companies having to report every tiny thing that happens? Further, at what stage does puffery become completely inappropriate and cause for suspension? EDIT: This is not a post for disputing AVZ, which was used only as a recent example.

Can anyone tell me explain the news for MGC? It went down to 20c I was so shocked. But apparently I get it paid back??? Sorry I have no idea about this. Can anyone explain this a more simplified way?
