Hello I have a question, heres the story my sister HAD a 2000 buick century she drove it maybe 2 miles from home to a fast food joint maybe a 1/4 mile down the road on her way home at a stop light when it turned green it would not go this is an automatic the car would rev up but would not go into gear, so someone pushed her to a parking lot I met her there, checked the tranny fluid it was completely dry while it was running in park okay so we go put about 4 quarts in I think mind you I kept checking the dip stick after every quart whiel running in park it wouldnt run in drive after 4 quarts but it would finally drive in the low gears 1 and 2 and I think 3…fast forward I now have possession of the car I bought it off her cause she didnt want to buy more tranny fluid..yea I Know it beats me lol..but anyways should I put a couple more quarts in and see what happens or is the tranny shot? it will drive in 1 and 2 not drive tho and it will go in reverse as well.

Glad I got approved for this website! Gonna be asking a lot of questions now lol. Buuuuuuuuuut first off,I just recently bought a 1988 chevy silverado k1500. Im looking for the fuse box that controls the dome lights and the lights under the dash. Theres 2 fuse locations. Under the dash, near the steering wheel, and another one UNDER the whole dash,near your feet. None are labeled dome light. PLEASE HELP!!!

Silly question, what issues would I run into if I left the bolt that I dropped in the thermostat housing on the intake? Would this affect the engine itself? Waterpump?

A question for all my mechanics……. If you have a blown head gasket does that necessarily mean that you have to purchase a engine or can you just buy the head cylinders and replace them? Which would be the best choice and why?

Here is a simple question: What do you use to lubricate SPD pedals? I have one that is tough to get out of on one side and since I use the shoes on many pedals, I think it is the pedal that needs the help. I should lube all my pedals anyway so, suggestions?

DT Swiss 240 rear hub question. When coasting, my rear hub doesnt quit make the constant clicking noise Ive come to expect out of a 240. The noise is a more cyclical clicking noise that ever so slightly speeds up and slows down each revolution like something is out of round. Any possible culprits or is this normal? TIA and PFA

Brake question- this is my every day commuter bike. I love it but the brake performance is lacking. I can get the bike to stop, but quick stops are scary with my current setup. Debating whether to change to modern brake levers and calipers. Could I use modern road bike calipers with what I have now, or would I need to replace the levers to feel any difference? Or could the problem be the pads I have? Is there a better type of pads that I could use with the existing calipers? Any advice would be appreciated.

Question on running tubeless. Have a set of 28 S-Works tubeless on a set of Giant PR-2 wheels. I’ve been told by various folks that I will experience more air loss while running tubeless than with the same tire and wheel combo running tubes. Today’s ride, 53 miles and I was down almost 10 pounds on each wheel. No punctures. Any sage advice greatly appreciated.
