Bistro Real – a real treat! Chef German Blanco from la tegala opened this place last week and i just had to go and try it. Two of us walked in, asked for a table but no one had a clue what the were doing. Then we stood at the bar untill some said our table will be ready in a few minutes. While we were waiting we had a tapa(pintxo) at the bar bread was soggy but the topping was good. Once at the table menu seemed interesting so we ordered 4 starters and a main between two of us, portions were smalll and fine, but accordingly priced too so thats a plus as you can order more variety. I also spotted a lunch menu pretty well priced according to the area in which the place is situated (arrecife centre) The scallops were absolutely amazing, their take on thai prawn curry, unique but mind blowing never tried something like it before. The meat canelonis with truffle bechamel beautiful aswell. The rissoto was a new one, red wine and oxtail….i love beef so enjoyed the strong meaty taste, rice cooked to perfection. The main course for two which was the lamb was delicious just un evenly cooked some cuts were a bit dry. Dessert was a home made cake but instead of being layerd everything was but separately on the plate. Amazing!!! Being a newly opened ventures i can understand the lack of organization in the service but food was spot on. We paid arround 80€ with wine. Not bad for soemthing of that quality. Will deffiantely return.

Somebody contacted our admin and accused this website of trying to ruin businesss … this is not the aim of this website and fair honest reviews are welcome, if a restaurant gets an unfavorable review then they have the opportunity to up the anti and provide a better service and quality of food. The idea of a review is that it is a REVIEW based on a personal experience, what is the point of a review if it is ALWAYS a good one and the bad reviews hidden so that others fall foul of bad service etc. If a good service and good quality of food is presented then there is nothing to fear. I will not permit anyone to contact and abuse either of the admins, they will be removed and banned with no argument. There is another group that is all flowers and rainbows only giving good reviews or bad reviews if you have followed their strict stipulations on anything that is not to your taste, if that is what you want feel free to join the other group, I for one will lose no sleep.

Gonna have a bit of a rant I put a review on Puerto Bahias fb page OK not good and as I have been eating there since the 90s said how it was in fact gone really awful But the worst bit Is the reply presume from manager or a staff member in Spanish called me a f#####g liar Now we decided that we may have given the place another go for the view mostly when over in s few weeksv but I will never set foot in there again if thats the attitude

Just back from a week in Lanzarote and had great nights out in our favourite restaurants but the one that stood out this time was Emmas Cantina in PDC near the harbour. Food was absolutely fantastic – really enjoyed it.
