The question I have today is I have a broken windshield and I went to a U-Pull-It place to get a new windshield. Is there anyway of getting my inspection sticker off the old windshield and put on the new windshield. How do you go about doing that
Donald McClelland: W d 40 let sit for a minute then peel off
Chris Kirby: Yeah use wd 40 oil/grease. Let it set ! Patience is key.
Ben Otto: Have you guys done this before? When I tried taking mine off from Texas, the slippery bastards put round slits in it so it ripped when peeled off
Donald McClelland: I do it every day almost
Josh Marxen: The slits are to keep people from transferring them to a non conforming car
Ben Otto: Yeah, which is why I didnt think this would work
Josh Marxen: if you soak them long enough they will roll off with an old credit card. Im usually not that patient and use brake cleaner but my brother bleached his dash pad because he didnt protect it with an old towel
Josh Marxen: sorry Ben Otto I was thinking of cleaning them off. In Iowa we dont have to have them but get out of state cars where they stack the years up the side.
Ben Otto: No problem. I almost never experience this. Just the one time when I moved back from the hell hole known as Texas. 😂😂
